Andere schöne Zonen der Stadt sind das Zollamt, welches ein kleines Haus ist, in dem man, während der Zeit des Kaisertums, den “Zoll” bezahlen musste. Vergesst nicht ein Bild bei der Kirche St. Andreas zu knipsen! Von hier aus kann man einen spektakulären Blick auf den See genießen. Um hier anzukommen legt man einen Weg zurück, welcher von Olivenbäumen umgeben ist!

Ein weiterer Aussichtspunkt befindet sich auf einer felsigen Straßenverbreiterung mit Blick auf Torbole. Von hier aus kann man die Häuser, die blaue Farbe des Sees besser beobachten und die Überreste von Mauerwerken, die auf eine Wohnsiedlung oder vielleicht einen Turm hinweisen.

Auf dem Rückweg nach Torbole, solltet ihr nicht vergessen ein gutes Eis in den verschiedenen Eisdielen zu probieren, die man unterwegs finden kann. Wenn ihr unermüdliche Wanderer seid, könnt ihr den obersten Teil von Torbole erreichen!

NATURLEHRPFADE UND REICHE VEGETATION

Wanderer dürfen sich die Wanderung auf dem Busatte-Tempesta-Weg nicht entgehen lassen. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön: Riva, Torbole, Segelboote, Windsurfen, die hohen Berge und die üppige Natur rund um den tiefblauen See sind von hier aus sichtbar!

Torbole ist wirklich reich an Vegetation! Zum Gebiet von Nago-Torbole gehört auch der Naturpark Monte Baldo, der wegen seines botanischen Reichtums “Garten Europas” genannt wird. So viele und verschiedene Pflanzenarten haben ihn in der ganzen Welt berühmt gemacht!

Ein Spaziergang, den man an einem Urlaub in Torbole unternehmen sollte, führt zum Fuße des Schlosses Penede. Ein Ort, welcher erst von den Galliern und dann von den Römer besiedelt wurde und erst am 11. September 1210 erstmals in einer Urkunde erwähnt wurde.

Der Ort ist wie verzaubert! Umgeben von einer reichen mediterranen Vegetation, bietet er eine schöne Aussicht auf den Gardasee! Diese Ruinen befinden sich in Nago, einem Dorf auf einem felsigen Hügel am Fuße des Monte Altissimo. Nicht zu verpassen sind in Nago die Gletscherbrunnen, die vor Millionen von Jahren dank der Steinerosion entstanden sind. Diese großen Hohlräume haben einen Durchmesser von 4 oder 5 Metern und sind bis zu 12 Meter tief. Es handelt sich um die berühmten Riesentöpfe, die von der Straße, welche Nago mit Torbole und mit der Festung von Nago verbindet, zugänglich sind. Die österreichisch-ungarische Festung von Nago wurde erst 1862 gebaut. Der Weg der Riesentöpfe ist keine anspruchsvolle Wanderung, die definitive in Highlight ist! 

Ein spannender Weg folgt den Spuren des Dichters Goethe. Goethe ist am Abend des 12. September 1786 in Torbole angekommen und hat von Nago die historische Straße von Santa Lucia zurückgelegt, welche damals die einzige Verbindung vom Gardasee zum Etschtal war.

It is no accident that the well-known poet Goethe (a commemorative plaque on the main square remembers him and the house where he lived) stayed here and got inspired by its breathtaking views, the narrow alleys and the lush nature.

THE MARINA AND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SPOTS TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED

For this reason, you can’t definitely miss the opportunity of trying some windsurfing, a sailing tour or practicing some quiet stand up paddle surfing during your holiday in Torbole.

The most picturesque spot in Torbole where taking a picture is undoubtedly the little marina. Anyway, there are other peculiar places like the former custom house, A tiny house where the duty used to be paid in the past, an inheritance of the Austro-Hungarian era. It can be seen at the entrance of the small port. Another strategic point to take a selfie or a pano from high up is undoubtedly the Sant’Andrea church. From here, a wonderful view on the whole lake can be enjoyed, and even only walking up there is amazing: you’ll be surrounded by a lot of olive trees!

Another not-to-be-missed panoramic spot is a small rocky clearing overlooking Torbole. From here, the sight stretches on the houses below, and on the blue colour of the lake waters of course. Here around some traces of dwelling walls or maybe of a tower are in view. From this Belvedere it is almost impossible not to take a great picture! 

Going back to the town center, don’t forget to taste a yummy ice cream in one of the several handmade ice cream parlours you will meet on your way around. Keeping on walking, you will maybe reach the highest part of Torbole!

THE NATURAL PATHS AND THE LUSH VEGETATION

Every walking, hiking and nature lover can’t miss the chance to go on a walk on the Busatte-Tempesta footpath: the view is astounding and it’s really worth the strain. Riva del Garda, Torbole, the sailing boats, the windsurfing boards, the high lush mountains surrounding the deep blue lake!

Torbole is really well rich in greenery! In the Nago-Torbole municipality the Mount Baldo Natural Park is in fact also included; thanks to its botanical wealth it is called the “Giardino d’Europa” (Europe’s Garden). There is a great number of plant species that have helped it become famous all over the world!

Another not-to-be-missed stroll during a holiday in Torbole is towards Castel Penede. Probably a Gallic settlement before, and Roman later, the castle is cited for the first time in an official written document on the 11th September 1210.

The place is one of the most enchanting in the area thanks to its rich Mediterranean vegetation and the fabulous view on Lake Garda! These ruins are actually in Nago, a little village nestled on a rocky upland at the foot of Mount Altissimo. In Nago you can’t miss the glacial ice shafts formed thousands of years ago thanks to the rock erosion. These big holes have a 4/5-meter diameter and a 12-meter depth. We are talking about the well-known Marmitte dei Giganti, accessible from the panoramic road that connects Nago with Torbole and the Forte di Nago, an Austro-Hungarian stronghold built in 1862. For the hiking lovers the Marmitte dei Giganti are also a not too demanding, rather not-to-be-missed, path. 

Another evocative footpath was very precious for the poet Goethe. This literary walk recalls Goethe’s footsteps. He reached Torbole on the night of 12th September 1786, going down from Nago on foot along the historic Santa Lucia street, that was the only connecting route towards Lake Garda from the Adige Valley at that time.

After all, what holiday in Torbole would it be without tasting the delicacies it can offer?

There is a heap of lakefront restaurants, not only elegant and romantic for a dinner for two, but also some trattorias and pubs where it is possible to dine informally. Nonostante la natura incantevole e suggestiva, che incornicia un Lago di Garda qui da cartolina, Torbole sul Garda ha anche un centro storico piccolo e ricco di storia.

Non a caso qui il celebre poeta Goethe (una lapide nella piazza centrale ricorda lui e la casa dove visse), soggiornò e si lasciò ispirare dalle vedute mozzafiato, gli stretti vicoli inerpicati e la lussureggiante natura.

IL PORTICCIOLO E GLI ANGOLI PIU BELLI DA FOTOGRAFARE

L´angolo più pittoresco di Torbole in cui scattare una foto ricordo è senza dubbio il porticciolo. Ma anche altri angoli caratteristici come la dogana, la piccola casetta dove si pagava il “dazio”, retaggio del periodo austroungarico, che potete ammirare all’ingresso del piccolo porto. Un altro punto strategico per un selfie o una panoramica dall’alto è senz’altro la chiesa di Sant’Andrea. Da qui si gode si una vista a dir poco spettacolare su tutto il lago ed è bellissimo anche solo arrivarvi: vi ritroverete circondati da olivi!

Un altro punto panoramico imperdibile è quello ricavato in un breve slargo roccioso che sovrasta Torbole. Da qui lo sguardo spazia sulle case sottostanti e sul blu del lago. Sono visibili i resti di strutture murarie riferibili a un insediamento abitativo o forse a una torre. Da questo Belvedere è impossibile non scattare una foto! 

Tornando verso il centro di Torbole, non dimenticate di assaggiare un buon gelato nelle varie gelaterie artigianali che incontrerete lungo il cammino. E camminando camminando magari raggiungerete la parte alta di Torbole!

I PERCORSI NATURALI E LA RICCA VEGETAZIONE

Imperdibile per tutti gli appassionati di camminate, trekking e natura è la passeggiata sul sentiero Busatte-Tempesta, la vista è stupenda e ripaga dalla fatica: Riva, Torbole, le barche a vela, i windsurf, le montagne alte e lussureggianti attorno al lago azzurro intenso!

Torbole è davvero ricca di vegetazione! Nel territorio di Nago-Torbole infatti è compreso anche il Parco Naturale del Monte Baldo chiamato, per la sua ricchezza botanica, “Giardino d´Europa”. Tante le specie di vegetali che lo hanno reso celebre in tutto il mondo!

Una passeggiata da non perdere in un weekend a Torbole sul Garda è poi quella che conduce ai piedi di Castel Penede. Probabilmente luogo d’insediamento prima gallico e poi romano, il castello viene nominato per la prima volta in un documento ufficiale l’11 settembre 1210.

Il posto è uno dei più incantevoli della zona, meravigliosa la ricca vegetazione mediterranea e stupendo il panorama sul Lago di Garda di cui si gode da qui! Queste rovine si trovano a Nago, paese situato su un altura rocciosa alle pendici del Monte Altissimo. Assolutamente imperdibili a Nago sono dei pozzi glaciali formatisi milioni di anni fa grazie all’erosione della pietra. Queste grandi cavità hanno un diametro di 4 o 5 metri e sono profonde fino a 12 metri. Stiamo parlando delle famose Marmitte dei Giganti accessibili dalla strada panoramica che collega Nago a Torbole e il Forte di Nago, fortezza austro – ungarica costruita nel 1862. Per gli appassionati di trekking, le Marmitte dei Giganti sono anche un percorso non troppo impegnativo ma assolutamente imperdibile!

Un altro sentiero suggestivo è quello tanto caro al poeta Goethe. Questa passeggiata letteraria ripercorre i passi di Goethe, che giunse a Torbole la sera del 12 settembre 1786, scendendo da Nago a piedi lungo la storica strada di Santa Lucia, all’epoca l’unica via di collegamento verso il Lago di Garda arrivando dalla Valle dell’Adige.

TORBOLE DA GUSTARE

In fondo, che vacanza sarebbe a Torbole senza gustare le prelibatezze che ha da offrire?

Tantissimi i ristoranti sul lago, eleganti e romantici per una cenetta a due con vista ma anche trattorie e birrerie dove mangiare in modo informale. Una specialità su tutte da non perdere? Il Broccolo di Torbole!

SPORT BEIM ERSTEN TAGESLICHT

Früh am Morgen ist auch die ideale Zeit, um im Urlaub Outdoor-Sportarten in aller Ruhe auszuüben. Es gibt so viele Wassersportarten, die ihr am Gardasee ausprobieren könnt. Riva del Garda und Torbole sind die unbestrittenen Hauptzentren des Windsurfens und des Segelns dank der Winde, die regelmäßig von morgens bis abends wehen.

Und bei Tagesanbruch? Das ist die perfekte Zeit, um Aktivitäten wie SUP (das einen “flachen” See benötigt) oder Kanufahren auszuüben!

Oder ihr könnt den Peler (Nordwind, der von den frühen Stunden der Nacht bis ca. 11-12 Uhr morgens weht) zum Windsurfen nutzen!

Liebhaber des Festlandes werden hingegen es lieben, ein Erwachen von Körper und Geist zu genießen, indem sie vielleicht Yoga am Strand machen oder sich ein süßes Aufwachen der Muskeln am Ufer des Sees gönnen.

DIE MORGENDÄMMERUNG DIE IHR UNBEDINGT FOTOGRAFIEREN MÜSST

Wie viele Orte gibt es, die ihr fotografieren oder die ihr einfach ausnutzen könnt, um den Sonnenaufgang am Gardasee zu beobachten? Viele, sehr viele!

Wir empfehlen euch ein paar:

– Die imposante Bastione von Riva del Garda (Festung, die zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts erbaut wurde), eines seiner Symbole, das von oben emporragt. Von hier aus wird die Morgendämmerung wie ein Leuchtfeuer aussehen, das die Einwohner allmählich “aufweckt”.

–Belvedere des Ponale. Von hier aus kann man den Wasserfall direkt nebenan und den ganzen See bewundern! Es ist die perfekte Ausrede, um bei Tagesanbruch auf einer der bekanntesten und beliebtesten Routen Europas zu wandern.

– Schloss von Arco. Die Route ist sehr eindrucksvoll und führt durch die Olivenbäume, die den Aufstieg zur Burg begleiten. Es ist sehr schön, zu pausieren, den Sonnenaufgang zu beobachten während eure Haut auf dem futuristischen Belvedere direkt unter dem Schloss (eine transparente Plattform) wärmer wird.

– Ruinen von Castel Penede. Ein geschichtsträchtiges Morgengrauen, das ihr von den Ruinen dieser alten mittelalterlichen Burg in Nago-Torbole aus erleben könnt. Von hier aus hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf den Monte Brione.

Schaut den Sonnenaufgang, genießt die noch leeren Strände und gönnt euch vielleicht ein schönes und erquickendes Frühstück auf dem See, ohne jemanden um euch herum, fast so, als würde das Wunder, das ihr beobachtet, nur euch gehören.

Anyway, the ancients used to say <<All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy>> and, especially on holiday, days are special if you get up early with the pink and golden lights of sunrise.

OBSERVING NATURE WHILE IT IS WAKING UP

The sunrise at Lake Garda is one of the best moments to live the charming beauty of a lake that, here in Trentino, is hugged by massive mountains, the first to welcome the warm and faint golden sunrays.

Pink, golden, light blue. No matter where you are going: getting up early is a great way to discover the less common colours of the lake, to watch the sun rising and begin your adventures earlier.

DAYBREAK SPORTS

The early morning is the perfect moment to practise some outdoor sports on holiday, because there’s nobody around. The water sports you can practise at Lake Garda are many. Riva del Garda and Torbole are the undisputed queens of windsurfing and sailing thanks to the regular winds that blow from morning to night.

At sunrise? Well, this is the perfect moment for the SUP – because the lake is flat – or the kayak!

Otherwise, you can enjoy the wind Pelèr – the northerly morning wind that blows from the early night to 11:00-12:00 a.m. – to go windsurfing!

If you prefer the mainland, your morning exercises might be some yoga on the beach or jogging along the shore of the lake.

SHOOT YOUR SUNRISE

There are so many places to observe or take pictures to the sunrise at Lake Garda! Here’s a list:

• The majestic Bastione of Riva del Garda (fortress over the village of Riva built around the beginning of the sixteenth century), one of the symbols of Garda Trentino. From there, the dawn looks like a lighthouse that wakes up the inhabitants little by little.
• Belvedere della Ponale. From there, you can admire the waterfall and the whole lake! The perfect excuse to go trekking early in the morning on one of the most known and loved courses in Europe.
• Castle of Arco. The course across the olive trees is very suggestive, a very pleasant company you until the castle. To stop and stare at the sunrise at the belvedere – a transparent platform jutted outwards right under the castle is fabulous.
• From the ruins of Castel Penede. A dawn full of history at the ruins of this medieval castle in Nago-Torbole. There, you can enjoy an awesome view over Monte Brione.

To watch the sun rising, enjoy the empty beaches and a delicious and revitalising breakfast at the lake almost alone, just like that marvel was only for you, painted by a divine artist.

I pigroni faranno fatica a comprendere chi, armato di buona volontà ed entusiasmo, mette le lancette della sveglia alle prime ore del giorno anche in vacanza.

Eppure come dicevano gli antichi: “ il mattino ha l’oro in bocca” e specialmente se si è in vacanza, la giornata di ferie acquista un fascino tutto suo se iniziata con le luci rosa e dorate dell’alba.

OSSERVARE I POSTI MENTRE SI “SVEGLIANO”

L’alba sul Lago di Garda è uno dei momenti migliori per vivere la bellezza e il fascino di un lago che qui in Trentino è abbracciato da imponenti montagne sulle quali si riflettono le prime luci del giorno.

Rosa, oro, azzurro, non importa dove andiate, svegliarsi presto è un modo fantastico per scoprire colori poco consueti del lago, vedere il sole che sorge e iniziare ancor prima le vostre esplorazioni.

SPORT CON LE PRIME LUCI DEL GIORNO

La mattina presto è anche il momento ideale per praticare sport all’aria aperta in vacanza senza la “calca”. I water sport che si possono provare sul Lago di Garda sono davvero tantissimi. Riva del Garda e Torbole sono le regine indiscusse del windsurf e della vela grazie ai venti regolari che soffiano dal mattino alla sera.

E all’alba? Beh, senza dubbio in questo momento della giornata, è perfetto praticare attività come il SUP (che necessità di un lago “piatto”), oppure la canoa!

O ancora potreste sfruttare il Pelèr (vento da nord chesoffia dalla prime ore della notte fino a circa le 11-12 del mattino) per praticare il windsurf!

Gli amanti della terra ferma invece ameranno tantissimo godersi un risveglio del corpo e dell’anima praticando magari yoga in spiaggia oppure un dolce risveglio muscolare in riva al lago.

L’ALBA DA FOTOGRAFARE

Quanti sono i luoghi da fotografare o semplicemente da cui osservare l’alba sul Lago di Garda? 

Ve ne suggeriamo solo alcuni:

• L’imponente Bastione di Riva del Garda (fortezza costruita intorno all’inizio del XVI secolo), uno dei simboli e che domina dall’alto la città. Da qui l’alba vi sembrerà un faro che man mano “sveglia” gli abitanti.
• Belvedere della Ponale. Da qui si ammira la cascata proprio lì accanto e tutto il lago! È la scusa perfetta per fare trekking alle prime luci dell’alba in uno dei percorsi più amati e conosciuti d’Europa.
• Castello di Arco. Il percorso è molto suggestivo e attraversa gli ulivi che man mano accompagnano la salita verso il castello. Molto bello fermarsi ad osservare il sole sorgere e scaldare la pelle dall’avveniristico belvedere poco più sotto il castello (una piattaforma trasparente protesa nel vuoto).
• Dalle rovine di Castel Penede. Un’alba che profuma di storia quella che potrete vivere dalle rovine di questo antico castello medioevale a Nago-Torbole. Da questo punto si gode di una splendida vista sul monte Brione.

Vedere il sole nascere, godersi le spiagge ancora intatte e magari concedersi una bella e corroborante colazione sul lago senza nessuno intorno a sé, quasi come se quella meraviglia che stiamo osservando fosse solo “nostra”, pennellata da qualche artista lassù in cielo solo per noi.

L’alba sul Lago Garda Trentino è pura poesia e chissà che alla “faticosa levataccia” non ci prendiate gusto!

Imponenti cinta murarie, alte torri merlate fra montagne che sembrano essere nate apposta per vedervi erigere maestosi castelli: siamo nel sul Lago di Garda Trentino e qui, nella splendida cornice a nord del lago più grande d’Italia, troviamo molte testimonianze storiche.

I castelli affascinano da sempre i tanti viaggiatori e turisti che ogni anno scelgono il Lago di Garda come meta per le loro vacanze, non fatte solo di sport e spiagge relax ma anche di storia e cultura.

Noi abbiamo provato a stilare una top 5 dei più bei castelli da visitare, pronti a visitarli?

• Il Castello di Arco. Risalente al XII secolo, l’antica dimora dei conti d’Arco, ad oggi allo stato ruderale, è una delle più belle testimonianze della vita medievale dell’Alto Garda. Meraviglioso il tragitto per giungervi: tre diverse vie che si snodano attraverso ulivi secolari e un panorama mozzafiato sul fiume Sarca e i monti circostanti. Da non perdere la Sala degli Affreschi con la raffigurazione di scene di vita cortese per…sognare di essere dame e cavalieri d’altri tempi!
• Il Castello di Tenno. Imponente, quasi austero. Forte e fiero, no. Non stiamo parlando di un Signore del Medioevo ma di lui, il Castello di Tenno, non visitabile purtroppo in quanto proprietà privata ma val ben un giro anche la sola visita esterna da cui potrete godere del suggestivo panorama a picco sul lago e da cui potrete partire per una visita al borgo Frapporta, un borgo medievale che si collegava con il sovrastante castello. Per accedervi bisognava superare l’antica porta ogivale che ancora oggi conserva i solchi delle inferriate di chiusura. Qui il tempo sembra essersi fermato! 
• La Rocca di Riva del Garda. Ha più volte trasformato le sue vesti nel corso dei secoli dalla sua creazione (che si fa risalire al 1124) e da allora è senza dubbio un punto di riferimento per gli abitanti di Riva del Garda e i tanti visitatori. A pelo d’acqua, direttamente sul lago, sembra guardare fiero l’orizzonte davanti a sé. Attualmente ospita il MAG, Museo Alto Garda  e nel periodo natalizio diventa la Casa di Babbo Natale (schhh ma voi non ditelo troppo in giro, adesso si sta riposando!) Dal mastio si gode di un’imparagonabile vista che non potete proprio perdere!
• Il Castello di Drena. La sua imponente struttura colpisce lo sguardo di chi da nord procede verso Arco. Le sue eleganti cortine murarie, la sua maestosa torre merlata alta 25 metri, il mastio centrale e i resti di un’antica chiesa. La visita merita anche solo per lo scenario unico di cui si può godere da qui: le valli circostanti e la distesa “lunare” chiamata anche “deserto delle Marocche”.

• Castel Penede – Nago. Ormai rudere, i resti di questo castello si fanno risalire addirittura ai Romani e nonostante non vi sia più una vera struttura da osservare, è di grande interesse una visita per le sue vicende storiche (il castello fu più volte conteso nel corso dei secoli) e per la spettacolare vista sul Lago di Garda, un vero e proprio punto di osservazione a 360 gradi della sua bellezza.
